Da ö Batti Portofino Restaurant - Details

Da o Batti famous "Scampi"

Da ö Batti Restaurant in Portofino owes its fame and status to the secret recipe of the tasty and juicy prawns ("Scampi") fished locally and served soaked in a slightly sour dip. The recent renovation of this historic restaurant pays homage to the seafaring tradition and the restaurant's own celebrated history; the many pictures on the walls by the stairs show indeed that Da ö Batti Restaurant has been for a long time a favorite and cherished stop for famous people from all over the world.
Not only does the restaurant now have a new room, but every detail of the structure and decor has been carefully selected: the bar, for example, is made of die-cast zinc, while the staircase leading to the new room is made of teak and crystal. Backlit showcases around the restaurant house models of sailing ships from the 19th and 20th century, gifting the whole environment a three-dimensional feel with a style that reminds of a vintage yacht. The upholstery used on the benches and chairs meshes coherently with the traditional style of the tablecloths: the result is a sober and balanced image. The complex lighting system really brings out the elegance and refinement of the restaurant by modulating the light to create just the right atmosphere for the different times of the day.
